When protecting your gear is Alpha Omega
Kraken was one of our first designs and is a true Halite classic. Originally design for rescue and maritime tactical use, it was quickly adopted by the expedition community as a go-to bag when the best gear protection was needed.
The classic design is well proven and fits well in sleds and boats. The profile and shape creates a good balance and increases the load distribution and carry comfort.
For our new PRO series of Kraken we have spent 2 years developing a new material and coating to provide the ulitmate protection for professionals. We use a new burly 1000 denier Cordura with a newly developed thick TPU laminate with a special surface treatment to dull down the fabric and create a structure in the coating. These changes does not only increase the durability and looks, but it sets a new standard for welding bond strengths.
Kraken uses a wing-design that allows for a huge opening. This creates an easy access and helps organising. Compression straps inside will hold the gear in place and hinder weight shifting when carrying or lifting the bag with heavy loads.
The double density shoulder straps has excellent load transfer and will resist packing out even with a lot of water exposure.
It goes without saying, this bag is 100% airtight and waterproof and our new TiZip MasterSeal #10 zipper is even stronger and easier to use than previous versions. A Halkey Roberts air valve will help you deflate or inflate the bag on demand.
